Free glass taster. Learn to cut, grind and copperfoil a one piece fish to be assembled into a river sculpture/mobile in time for the 21st June. 30 mins per person - 4 people at a time.

Heart & Shoal Workshop with Elbow Room

Make a splash with The Elbow Room artists to create a colourful recycled art installation for RiverLight. Painting, printing, collaging and upcycling materials to make a shoal-lotta beautiful fish to swim across the Hub’s footbridge, encouraging an appreciation or our wonderful water wildlife and to keep our rivers sparkling clean!

Free, all ages, children must be accompanied by an adult

Blacksmithing with ChainBridge Forge

Chain Bridge Forge from Spalding will be bringing their portable Forge to demonstrate and have a go at the art of the blacksmithing.

Due to the nature of the activity this will be suitable for older children to have a go, all ages are welcome to watch. Drop-in, there may be a wait during busy periods.

Ripple Effect by Hannah Price & Ruth Burrows

Create a ripple of kindness and creativity flowing through the town and beyond. Working with local people of all ages, the artists have created an interactive installation of colourful tokens of kindness. Festival visitors are encouraged to make their own token, and exchange it for another to give to someone they know, or even leave it around the town for a stranger to discover.

Bee-Kind, Bee-Friendly,Bee-Inspired Workshop by Interflora

There are over 270 bee species in Britain but they need our help. Make your own make bee houses, celebrate what makes this little insect so important and look at ways we can support them as much as they support us. Materials will be provided on the day and all ages and abilities are welcome.
