Join this circular walk to the Sleaford Castle site with about 8 stops for explanation and description. Return via Nags Head Passage and finish at the Museum circa 1530. Take a short walk through Sleaford heading to the castle site, where the walk and talk will be lead by Mark Bamford whose knowledge of the Sleaford Castle knows no bounds. Learn about Sleaford’s Castle history and discover its secrets. Dogs must be kept on a lead.

This walk navigates the Sleaford Navigation from Sleaford Town Centre exploring local landmarks, buildings and facilities as it follows the Navigation Eastwards climbing to Evedon (59ft) and joining the navigation at Haverholme Lock for the return, past some of its iconic locks and sites of some of the 18 mills that once existed between Sleaford and Chapel Hill .The walk will conclude at the last and working 18th Century Watermill Cogglesford Mill where its flour is much in demand and Walkers can not only experience its quality with homemade backing but can purchase some of this much sought after flour.
