Lincolnshire-based ceramic sculptor Liz McLelland presents a collection of wildlife sculptures, which spans across water and sky, mackerels, grebes, swifts, owls and wrens.
McLelland uses stoneware clay to capture a sense of softness and wildness. With 20 years of experience working in wildlife conservation, she has developed a close observation of wildlife and a deep fascination with nature.
As a self-taught artist, McLelland is constantly experimenting with the material and new approaches to capture subtlety of her subjects. Swimming in the Sky invites visitors to slow down and notice the world around us, which we share with countless wild species.
