The Hub Dance ran and produced True Motion 2023 on the 16th April in association with Fabric and the University of Lincoln.

True Motion is part of U.Dance, a national framework of dance performances for young people, led by One Dance UK (the national body for dance in the UK). It’s one of six events taking place across the Midlands this spring. At each event, a panel of dance professionals selects two groups to perform at an East Midlands regional event. One group is then shortlisted by One Dance UK to progress to U.Dance National Festival which will be hosted in Newcastle from 28-31 July 2023.

True Motion celebrates the wealth of youth dance and creativity from across Lincolnshire and provides talented young dancers the opportunity to showcase their work on a professional stage. 10 groups performed on the night, three of which were Hub Dance groups based at OneNK Centre in North Hykeham.

True Motion 2023 was a huge success and we are thrilled to announce that the panel shortlisted Diamondz School of Dance from Spalding and Evolve Youth Dance Company, which is based at OneNK and led by the Hub’s Dance Team.
