Jason and His Argonaut, Jason Wilsher - Mills
The exhibition I’m reviewing is called “looking back, looking forward” by Jason wilsher-mills. He is an artist that started his work during covid, making sculptures in his back garden. He specialises in paintings, sculptures, digital art and most recently inflatables. Jason makes his art based on his friends and people he has met; he also focuses on the challenges he has faced with having a disability and the charity’s he has worked with. His art is exciting and gives off a playful, childish persona with all the different colours, patterns and shapes.

Overall experience
My experience working at the hub has been very fun and eye opening for me. Throughout working here I’ve helped with workshops for schools. The workshops are very engaging, doing stuff such as painting with different shapes and objects to try and resemble Jason’s patterns in his art. We also toured around the exhibition looking at his sculptures, inflatables and his mural he did specifically for this exhibition. At the end they did worksheets with colouring in and questions. The second day I was here I helped Lottie and Esme talk about careers with St Georges sixth formers which also included activities. We started with doing pretend job interviews with made up jobs, this was funny and engaging. After that we did a mind map of what skills you had, experiences and what you wanted to do in the future.

Over all my experience here has been fun and I’ve had such a great time meeting and working with everyone. Being here has helped me develop certain skills such as adaptability, teamwork, organisation and social skills. Thank you too all the staff making this a really great experience!
