About the Festival
The Rural Action Film Festival showcases documentary, fiction, comedy, and animation from around the world; all centred on rural life, natural resources, and sustainable futures. Independent filmmakers submit work responding to these themes, creating a rich mix of perspectives on the challenges and beauty of rural environments.
Festival Objectives
- Raise awareness of rural issues through film and discussion
- Support and encourage local conservation groups
- Contribute to sustainable development across the region
- Promote the area and its surrounding landscapes
