True Motion celebrates the wealth of youth dance and creativity from across Greater Lincolnshire, providing talented young dancers with a unique opportunity to showcase their work on a professional stage. True Motion is produced and run by the Hub dance team in association with Lincoln Arts Centre, University of Lincoln & Fabric. It also aligns with U.Dance, a national framework of dance performance opportunities for young people, led by One Dance UK. The winner of True Motion 2025 will receive an award of excellence. Two runner up awards will be selected for social impact and choreographic concept. All three awards will be presented live on stage by an independent selection panel.

Who Can Apply?

Application is open to any youth dance company, school dance group, community dance group or individual that meets the criteria, as stated below:

• We welcome applications from groups working in different dance styles; with young people in different settings including schools, youth centres, community groups and youth dance companies.
• Application is open to any dance forms including but not limited to South Asian, African, Street, Contemporary and Classical styles.
• We strongly encourage applications from groups that include disabled dancers with physical or special educational needs (SEN).
