Make a Silver Pendant with Rosie Priestley

Tue 2 Jun, 6:30–8:30pm

Hub £50 18yrs+

What will I learn?

Curious about working with silver? This evening workshop is the perfect place to start. Learn how to cut, texture, shape and solder silver as you create a pendant using specialist tools and techniques. This beginner-friendly class is a great introduction to the world of jewellery making – no experience needed.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Transfer your design onto sheet silver
  • Pierce out (saw) your pieces using traditional tools
  • Apply texture using hammers and stamps
  • Form gentle curves or domes for extra dimension
  • And the exciting part – solder your pieces to make some actual wearable jewellery!

Workshops are small and supportive, so there’s plenty of time for individual guidance. Whether you’re looking to try something new or just want to spend a few creative hours making something beautiful, you’ll leave with a unique piece of jewellery and some serious jewellery-making skills. All tools and materials are included – just bring your enthusiasm and a few other things….

What will I take away with me?

You will take home your own silver pendant.

Do I need to bring anything with me?

  • Appropriate clothing – wear something you don’t mind getting a little dirty, and avoid loose clothing, eg wide sleeves or scarves
  • Wear closed toed shoes, especially as we’ll be soldering
  • Hair tie – if you have long hair, it must be tied back
  • Notebook/sketchpad

Is it suitable for beginners?

Yes.

About the Artist/Facilitator

Rosie is a handmade jewellery designer working primarily in silver from her studio in Lincolnshire, drawing inspiration from nature’s organic forms. Her work moves between the organic and the abstract, exploring repetition, structure, and how individual elements interact. Alongside her studio practice, Rosie teaches jewellery workshops that blend modern techniques with traditional bench skills, encouraging experimentation, problem-solving, and confidence at the bench while supporting students to develop their own ideas and create unique pieces to take home.
