What will I learn?
You will learn the fundamentals of 2D needle felting, a textile technique that uses a specially designed barbed needle to interlock wool fibres and create detailed images and textures.
During this hands-on session with Sofia Barbe, you will:
- Be introduced to the tools and materials used in needle felting
- Learn how to safely handle felting needles
- Explore how to build colour, texture and shape using carded wool
- Work with a template to guide your design
- Learn how to finish your piece through gentle ironing and framing
What will I take away with me?
You will leave with your own 15 x 15 cm framed 2D needle felted artwork, presented in a wooden embroidery hoop — ready to display at home or give as a gift.
Do I need to bring anything with me?
