Enjoy a short family-friendly string quartet performance with a relaxed attitude to noise. Bring a teddy, meet a real classical composer, and have a go on some instruments. Babies and children of all ages welcome.
Later in the day there be a full performance featuring the world premiere of “Unplug” by Oleta Haffner, and quartet music by Chevalier de St George, Fanny Hensel, and Haydn’s “Lark Quartet.” Calming, exhilarating, inspiring, mischievous, gentle, ethereal, and everything in between.

Stories help very young children (& their adults!) understand the world, learn vital lessons &, through the power of myth, feel wonder & experience a wide spectrum of emotions. Artist & storyteller Rose Croft, & pioneering string quartet Khrisma4 collaborate for the first time to give you & your young children an experience never to be forgotten. In Eileen Browne’s classic tale, Handa from the Luo tribe in Kenya walks with a basket of fruit on her head for her friend in the next village…
