Youth Street Dance Class

Every Wed, 4:15pm‑5:15pm, term time only

£36 per term, 10-15yrs, at OneNK, North Hykeham, Lincoln, LN6 9AX

What will I learn? 

A fun Street Dance class for ages 10-15. The group covers the foundations of various Street Dance techniques, with a focus on the following styles Hip Hop, Locking and House. This class is suitable for dancers who are new to Street Dance Styles or looking to improve their current skills. Please email dance@hub-sleaford.co.uk to book a free trial class.

Please note, this class runs in term-time only and takes place at the One NK Centre, North Hykeham, Lincoln, LN6 9AX.

The class will include:

  • Introduction 
  • Warm up 
  • Technique - Exploring techniques such as Hip Hop, Locking and House (Learn foundational moves and participate in creative tasks)
  • Choreography
  • Cool Down and reflection 

Do I need to bring anything with me? 

Please wear comfortable clothing you can move in e.g. leggings/shorts and a tshirt and trainers. Bring a bottle of water, this can be refilled at One NK. 

Is it suitable for beginners?

Yes. All abilities are welcome, the class will cater for individual needs of participants. 

About the Artist/Facilitator 

Amy is an acclaimed choreographer and community dance artist with over 15 years of experience leading innovative arts projects across Lincolnshire. Holding both a BA(Hons) and a Master’s in Choreography from the University of Lincoln, she has created and performed works for national touring companies and local arts organisations, while spearheading award-winning community performances at festivals and public platforms. Amy now teaches a diverse range of dance styles across the county, empowering the next generation of dancers and artists throughout Lincolnshire.

Access Information - One NK First Floor Studio

There is a large free car park at One NK

When you enter One NK, head to the reception and a staff member will let you through the barriers. 

The studio is on the first floor, you can see a picture of the room below. A staff member will show you to the studio.

Lift or stair access is available.

The studio is temperature controlled and well lit.

There are toilet facilities on the ground and first floors. You will have access to two disabled toilets.

You are welcome to take drinks into the studio.
